Issue 20 - October, 2009

Summer is truly over here at Gateway. The garden has been put to bed, horses are staying close to their hay feeders and sadly, the tell tale sign that winter is on it’s way… the cranes in huge formation and with their distinctive cries are heading south.

We have had a truly life changing summer. With visitors and new-found friends from all over the world who have now experienced the magic and miracles of Gateway. Frank, our film maker, is busily working on the 25 hours of footage from the workshops and the finished version is scheduled to be ready as a video series before Christmas. Exciting news, Connie Funk, the Meryl Streep/Clint Eastwood double, will be contributing her golden voice and presence as narrator. The next year’s workshops, including guest visits from Britt Mills, DVM, Marta Williams, Linda Kohanov, and Margaret Coates as well as our yearly natural horse clinic with Jonathan Field are all up on site at www.lizmittenryan.com.

We are expecting workshops to fill quickly so please see our calendar on site to book the Gateway Workshop of your choice with complimentary layover days between adjoining Guest Workshops. Most Guest Workshops are placed so as to be available before or after Gateway Workshops with layover days either end.

We will be offering Level Two Workshops for all those who have completed their level one. Please inquire about our special rates for past participants.

The workshops this year ended with a wonderful private session with Heidi Krupp, a publicist from NYC, who has been asked to share her journey on Oprah’s blog. The entire land in sign and symbol spoke in wondrous occurrences and Crystal and Prospera performed miracles. That’s all I can say now, but hopefully, I will be able to share a link with you later.

For all of you who have experienced Dave’s cooking…you will be glad to know that he is hard at work on his cookbook of organic, free range, garden fresh recipes featuring the absolutely amazing spice blends from Made With Love Delectable Edibles and many photographs of his work. (We will be selling limited edition prints of these photographs in our gift shop next year – hee hee).

There are several articles about Liz and the workshops in magazines and on websites this month. Irene Butler wrote two great articles, one in Aquarius Magazine and the other at Senior Living.
Also Betty Louise of Greenthink radio  has lots of information on her site and has interviewed some practitioners and participants.

Liz will also be interviewed on Horse Conscious on November 1st at 11am. If you would like to hear the show live or ask questions, visit www.horseconscious.com
Special guest this month is Elizabeth Loper who is an Epona graduate and recently spent time with Carolyn Resnick who decided that Liz and Elizabeth should get together. The ladies have been sharing horse wisdom. This newsletter is courtesy of Elizabeth who has many office skills as well.

Any of you who have visited the ranch will be sad to hear that beloved whippet Budda or 'Bu' has left this plane suddenly. As near as we can figure it, he ran into a tree branch, severed his carotid artery and left in minutes. We are all grieving, but his best friend Thena (Athena) as an only Whippet is unbearably lonely, so Liz has arranged for a new baby for her from Bu’s breeder who will be ready to join the family in a month. Her name 'Tien' means Angel, Fairy, Spirit.

I hope you will all join us on the NING site at http://lizmittenryan.ning.com/ to share your pictures and stories and blog with us (if you blog on the main page it reaches everyone). I am so glad to hear that many of you will be coming back next year and are excited about our famous guests, who will travel all this way to share their knowledge. I know many of you have read their books and followed their work.

Congratulations to Michelle, radiant star of our movie ‘Equinisty’, who believe it or not, will be hailed as a Granny next June. ( I told her "Oma" would be a better name as no-one would believe the other term.)

From the Horses:

"The healing tables are empty and the land is quiet. Even though you are far away, please don’t forget us. We are with you in thoughts and dreams. Don’t forget what we have taught you – always remember you are held in the arms of love forever and always…ALL ways. We are traveling quickly now. It is exponential, with each heart, each mind, one mind, one heart at a time – we are evolving to become the highest vision of our earthly experience. Remember who you are and why you chose this adventure. We are counting on you to be the change you believe in. “You an I can change the world, one mind at a time…imagine.” The tipping point is only a fractional proportion of mass mind consciousness. Be child-like, be innocent, be truthful, and be LOVE!"

Many blessings and heaps of Equinisity,
- Liz and the Herd
